With regards to the newsletters, its likely that your email service thinks they are spam and may be either going to your bulk/spam folder; the same applies to your personal email. The best way to get around that is to add the email addresses of the senders to your address book. By doing this, you will bypass the spam filters. Also, take a look at your spam filters / blocked senders lists and how they are set up. It’s possible that certain words in the body or title of the email are blocking the email or sending the email to the wrong folder.
As for attachments, if you receive it you should be able to open it. Although, there can be some issues with firewalls or virus software. If you are using a non-web based email program like (Outlook), a company server may be blocking attachments to prevent potential virus threats. I’ve had that happen before with a couple companies that I’ve worked for.
Hope this helps a little.
