When do you take the PSAT/NMSQT?

I was planning to take the SATs as a junior sometime in the winter. But then i got an email/newsletter from collegeboard that talked about juniors and taking the PSAT/NMSQT. I know that, traditionally, juniors took the SATs in the spring, but I wanted a head start. But if I am expected to take the PSAT(distributed by the school) as a junior in october(as said by the collegeboard website), it wouldnt be very smart to take the SATs and pay for them. I remember taking the PSAT/NMSQT my sophmore year. So I’m really confused. Do you take the PSAT/NMSQT again junior year? or did my school do it early and I’m done with it?

Nope. PSAT is ONLY for your sophomore year. SAT is for your junior year. You are on the right track. Collegeboard.com is just confusing you. I know, I enrolled in that website, and it’s just giving you wierd information. Just stick to what you’ve planned and you’ll do fine!
