How many emails can i send without becoming spam?

I am the membership coordinator for a small community theater group and we want to send out a montly newsletter. The file would be created in a program and sent as a pdf. attachment. I want to know how many emails I can send out a month or at a time without being filtered into the “spam” catagory.
PS: it is a membership benefit so all that will be receiving it, in essence have paid to have it sent to them…so it’s not unsolicitaed

What is “spam” is determined by the ISP or mail program/website. usually, hundreds of recipients with very little text in the email, or just a link, will trigger spam. but if you have a subject line that is not spam-esque and a decently sized amount of text, you should be fine.
