How do you create an email newsletter/advertisement? ?

Does anyone know how to create an email advertisement without using one of those online companies like icontact or graphic mail. I want to create my own design?

Actually, you can create the online advertisement/newsletter as an HTML page. Hold your images at your hosting place. A MassMessaging utility will send your advertisement to receipions’ email account.
