i get lots of spam and junk email. how to control this nuisance?

My inbox gets flooded with junk mail every hour of the day, 24/7.
Even though yahoo has a bulk folder where all the spam is supposed to land, a lot of spam still ends up in inbox. Why?
How are the spam emails able to bypass the bulk folder?
I once went to a website of green tea manufacturer and gave the website my email address for their monthly newsletter. Since then the amount of spam has grown exponentially.
Please let me know what to do now. I cannot even see any personal emails in inbox because so much is junk.

The root of your problems start when you go to web sites and and join things or sign up for promos you are literally giving your email address away for free! That is how they dupe you into such things. My suggestion would be to be VERY VERY selective of who you give your email address.

Click on options top right of your mail box In the next window click on spam protection and make sure the correct selections have been made. Remember when you receive spam in your inbox to tick the little box beside the message then to click spam. Just a couple of thoughts quite possibly you’ve done all that. If all else fails get a new yahoo address.

There has been a huge increase in spam since the all new mail. I have started to use a free programme Mail Washer rated 5 out of 5 by consumeractive magazine. It’s worth a try to see if it helps you. It’s not perfect but it certainly helps me. Download from
