How do I put a Mac Pages document directly into the body of an email?

I’ve tried copy and pasting. I’ve tried the Pages email but that attaches the document. I don’t want to attach the document. I want it to show up in the email. I’ve tries pasting it as both a pdf and a word doc. Can anyone tell me how to send it in the email? (It’s a family newsletter and I’m a new Mac user.)

Sorry, but you can’t do that. You can only send the document as an attachment, and for that a PDF document is the best option, as it retains all formatting exactly as you created it.
Pages documents are not HTML, so they can’t be included in the body of an email; sending an attachment in one of several formats is the only option.
