I have started a newsletter which is labeled as Vol. 1 Issue 1. How many issues do I write before going to Vol. 2?

Usually a volume is an entire year.

One year of a magazine is considered one volume.
Issue numbers are like chapters.
For example, volume 7, issue 4 would be the seventh year of the magazine and the fourth volume of the year
OK?
