How to attach dynamic content to PDFs downloaded from my website to readers?

posted by admin in Other - Internet

My PDFs are downloadable for free to my viewers. To generate revenue I would like to attach ads to the PDF or somehow deliver ads with the PDF to my readers. . Ideally I need to quickly and easily change these attached ads so that a new ad can be added to all my PDFs for 1 week periods. As these PDFs reside on my server, I should be able to edit (hopefully batch edit) my PDFs so that I can easily change the attached dynamic content as well as effect other PDF editing such as watermarks, etc.
Thank you,

I’m looking for examples of blogs, podcasts, vlogs etc. with an undeniably Canadian content. Any suggestions?

A direct link to these sites would be VERY much appreciated. I’m hoping for examples of sites that represent Canadian diversity, or talk about Canadian issues specifically, or anything that is engaging and dynamic.

What’s a good website for Email Newsletters?

posted by admin in Other - Internet

I currently use ConstantContact, but our satisfaction level with them has been dropping quite a bit of late.

Too man unusual formatting bugs that pop up without warning. My last newsletter had a paragraph in the header unexpectedly changed to Times New Roman for no apparent reason in between the time of my first test and actual mailout.

Things I like:
Their website seems well laid out.
They are serious about respecting privacy of email lists and being diligent about keeping the website’s reputation clean.
Good information available for clickthroughs.

Things I don’t like:
Frequent problems with unusual formatting quirks – I have to upload all my content as JPG since text behaves unpredictably.
Poor support for Chrome, both for the editor and for recipients.
Poor support for Chrome with archived emails presented as webpages for different purposes.
Stingy with file space – this is a paid account, but I can only host 5 images there – I can live with that, but it is weird.

My satisfaction rate is about 70%. I use them because my boss chose to get started with them.

We are about to launch a series of promotions aimed at increasing our exposure with the mailing lists and expect to see a huge increase in the number of email addresses in our list. This will push our costs up quite a bit and the boss is really expecting more from his money. Not a 70% satisfaction rate. It’s not really that complicated of a service.

Could you please make some suggestions as to a website that offers similar service? Especially one that is reasonable in cost?

We are a fairly small business right now and are experiencing some fantastic growth, having more than doubled our annual sales figures just in the last 2 months, so we need to sharpen our pencils to keep up.

Thank you.
