Why is it that some web pages freeze a browser window? Is it advertising?



I noticed today that Yahoo Sports freezes Internet Explorer when the page is nearly loaded. This has happened for me on other web sites, but I’ve rarely experienced it (like, a few times a year overall). It will typically go away by the next time I visit a site (like a day later), so my assumption is that it has something to do with the dynamic content or advertising.

What is the best yahoo tool to use to send an electronic newsletter?

I know that publisher files get pretty big when pics are added. Some email carriers reject files that are too big. I also dont want to use an attachment if possible as people dont want to wait to download stuff in order to read it.
